BUSY BEE LICENSED FAMILY CHILD CARE

Washroom Use Procedures

In order to ensure adequate supervision and safety of all the children and to teach the children to develop proper washroom use, I have listed below the procedures used in my child care facility.

These procedures are intended to minimize situations of potential allegations of inappropriate behaviour and to be appropriate to the age group served.

- caregiver's responsibility - bathroom procedures are not done be visitors or family members.

- independent toileting - caregiver is notified, children are alone or in pairs.

- review of proper toileting procedures is done regularly.

- bathroom procedures on field trips/outings are done under the caregiver's supervision.

- hand washing before meals and after returning from school is essential.

- paper towels are used in order to stop the spread of germs.
