BUSY BEE LICENSED FAMILY CHILD CARE

Withdrawal of Services Policy

As this can be a highly contentious situation, I have listed below the procedures I would use in attempting to negotiate a mutual agreement.

- the reasons for which services will be terminated are clearly stated (this may include late payment, failure to work with the caregiver to meet the needs of one's child, inappropriate placement of a child, etc.)

- as the caregiver, I will meet with the parent(s) to discuss any possible steps that could be taken prior to asking the parent to withdraw their child.

- if we can't come to a mutual agreement, I will serve the parent(s) with a written withdrawal of services document.

As stated in my Parent/Caregiver Agreement under Probationary Period and Term of Contract :

Both caregiver and parent(s) reserve the right to request that a child be withdrawn from Busy Bee Licensed Family Child Care, if the child is unable to adapt or adjust within the first month, or if the child has social, emotional, or physical needs that the provider is unable to provide for. The probationary period of the daycare is 4 weeks, and if a child is withdrawn by either the caregiver or parent(s) during this time, a portion of the monthly fee will be refunded and no notice is required. However, after this probationary period, one month's notice in writing must be given by either parent or caregiver to terminate this agreement, or the parent(s) will pay one month's fee in lieu of notice. Only in exceptional circumstances, where both parties agree, shall this policy be waived.
